				Hello Warren!
You have so many beautiful photos of California, but this one of Big Sur is just about my favorite. I love the layering of the hills. And the way they move down to the ocean - It's enough to make an Easterner cry ;-)
When I was a young guy living in Manhattan in the '70s, I assumed anything outside NYC, and *especially* California, was for the birds. Once I got married in 1980, Sandy wanted to go to California to visit her grandfather, then 85, in Hemet - I resisted, but finally, reluctantly gave in in '84.
We flew into Oakland, stayed in SF for a few days, then drove towards LA and then eastward to Hemet.
I must admit that from the minute I got off the plane, much to my surprise, I fell in love with California.
Sandy & I drove from Hemet to San Jose in '93, and I remember going North past this very spot (that bridge is magnificent!)
Thanks for the wonderful reminders!
Best regards,
SteveR
