Toyota 2000GT

Hosting provided by FotoTime

Here's an ultra-rare Toyota 2000GT seen fueling up before its demo laps at the 2008 Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca.

This 1968 2000GT,#33, is one of the cars that Carroll Shelby raced in the SCCA.

Return of the Mystery Car Series

Hi Folks,

It's been a long time since my last "guess the mystery car" photo series.

Any guesses on this one?

Hint: This picture was taken at this year's Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca.

Remembering September 11, 2001

Dear Readers,

I have no picture to post today so I thought I'd break my long silence on this blog exactly a year from my last post on this anniversary of the terrible terrorist attacks on our country.

Part of my usual morning routine is to wake up early to spend some time on the computer before my commute into the office. That morning was no exception. I had taken pictures over the weekend of the T-Mobile bike race in SF and I was doing some post-processing work on the digital photos when I heard over the radio that a plane had crashed into the one of the Twin Towers in NYC. Over the course of the next hour or so, the full extent of what really happened slowly dawned on me and the rest of the public that was just beginning to go about our day on the West Coast.

During my commute into work, I heard on the radio of the airport shutdowns and of the other attacks. My mood was increasingly outraged and disturbed. I realized that I was reacting to the news in a way that I've never felt before. I took it personally, I felt as though the terrorists had attacked me personally.  The attack caused a very deep anger, and even today it is very easy to revive those emotions.

Anyway, that's all that I with to say now, just a few words in remembrance of all the lives that were lost, and all the lives that were forever changed by this event. I don't think I'll need to remind people anymore not to forget because I don't think we ever will.

Regards,

Warren
