Picture: From the 2003 T-Mobile International Bike Race in SF
Reading about the current Tour de France, where Lance Armstrong is going for his unprecedented seventh win in a row, reminded me of our annual international bicycle race in San Francisco. The most grueling part of the SF race is on the Fillmore Street hill. I took this picture of a racer grinding up the hill in the 2003 event.

Picture: Coit Tower and Flag, July 4th
Since it was July 4th, we wanted to get some pictures with flags during our annual walk on the waterfront. Gail waited patiently for the wind to pick up the flag for this shot, which is nicely framed by the leaves.

This was taken at Levi Plaza near the Embarcadero. We did our traditional walk down the waterfront today to join in on all the July 4th festivities.
