Playing Tourist at Home
We all need a break from our routines. Have any of you every played "tourist" in your home towns? Gail and I often do. We spent a day in Sausalito yesterday. We had brunch at The Spinnaker restaurant, then we did some shopping among the "real" tourists, then we walked the hills of Sausalito. We found a deserted public park in the hills where we took the opportunity to practice Tai Chi.
It was the perfect remedy for the "I need a vacation blues". And now, it's Monday, and we're back to the weekday grind.

A great post and a good recommendation. We live near Baltimore but really haven't spent much time there in years. This past February, both Sandy & I had off for Presidents' Day, which happened to be the Monday after Valentine's Day. So I suggested we spend the night in Balto the day *after* Valentine's Day (Sunday evening) and the next day as "tourists" in Baltimore. I got us a really nice hotel room with no hassels, as V.D. was already over. The next day, we visited the historic Fells Point area - we'd never been there before.
Thanks for reminding me!
Best regards,
